| On December 11, 2014, the Police Executive Research Forum, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of Community Oriented Policing Services, convened a conference in Washington, D.C., titled Constitutional Policing as a Cornerstone of Community Policing. Police executives, federal officials, academics, and civil rights leaders came together at this one-day conference to develop strategies for promoting constitutional policing as part of the day-to-day work of policing.
